2023 GIFT BAGS
Each of the GFT teens will receive a back pack with over 40 items
Generous donations subsidize the GFT costs per bag
The bags are filled with over 40 items including with gifts, games, school supplies, toiletries, scarves, socks, jewelry, snacks and many personal items
Each year GFT each bag for every teen also includes:
• Gift cards from several stores
• One quality hoodie sweatshirt
• Thrive and Lush cosmetics
• Two new t-shirts
• Fast Food certificates
• SF Giants t-shirts, tote bags, bobbleheads

Grateful Garments, a local non-profit helping abused victims, donated holiday themed underwear for the girls. We are very grateful!

S.F. Giants donated team bobble head figures, poker chips and t-shirts. Teens will really feel special getting these logo and Giants branded gifts.

Sacred Heart Community Service
Sacred Heart Community Service has donated thousands of practical school supplies for our teens. Their contribution includes
pens, composition notebooks, glue sticks, erasers, folders,
markers, colored pencils, and 300 new backpacks.
These are essential school supplies we can add to our gift bags that can
help teens throughout their school year.
Hand knit Scarves and Hats
Warm hand knit scarves and hats and beanie are being knit
by volunteers for both guys and gals.

members donate time
and money to
support GFT
Members
also volunteer to
assemble
each gift bag.
Lush Cosmetics
Lush has generously donate1,000 scented Bath Scrubs this year
LUSH, a popular brand with teens, has generously donated a large shipment of scented Bath Scrub products to
add to the cosmetic packets for girls.
These are quality products that are not heavily perfumed.
National Charity League moms and daughters will wrap all these beauty items in holiday paper to add to our girls' bags.

THRIVE Cosmetics Donation 2023
THRIVE has generously sent 1,500 skin care products
This includes skin care products for youth with an emphasis on sunblock products, lip balm and SPF sunblock moisturizer. These products are high quality cosmetics, contained in attractive creative packaging. Each female GFT teen will receive 6 THRIVE items in a fun zippered pouch
Male teen bags will receive a THRIVE lip balm too.
THRIVE is “Beauty with a Purpose. For every product purchased, one is donated to help a woman thrive.”

GFT applies for the THRIVE grant each year and has been awarded products for the last 4 years because we serve low-income and homeless youth

Mom and daughter philanthropists, will co-ordinate and wrap fun cosmetics and also serve as volunteers in the fall to assemble all these wonderful products into gift duffles.
NCL has been a vaued supporter for the last 8 years
We have such efficient, enthusiastic groups to complete filling bags each year. This year we appreciate volunteers from several High Schools - Archbishop Mitty, Presentation, Bellarmine, St Francis, Pioneer, Leland Robotics Club. Several community groups - Alamaden Valley Women’s Club, The History Club, National Charity League Alamaden Blossom Valley Chapter, Xi Iota Zeta sorrority, AAUW - San Jose Branch and numerous individual volunteers.
We thank these volunteers, especially the teenagers, for their continued service and caring attitude.
Community Donatons
We are asking the community for donatons of $25 and $50 store gift cards from Target and Walmart - where teens can get food, hygiene products, and clothing. Kids can use the store gift cards to p
urchase what they most need and want.

The GFT committee is buying numerous other teen-loved gifts, such as sparkly nail polish, pajamas, warm beanies, sweat pants, and store gift cards, to include in the bags. We are accepting donations of cash for these purchases
